Both Feet Into Brambles is a book about Charleroi’s slag heap.
As a result of two years of research on Charleroi’s slag heaps, this book relates my encounter with these strange mountains, once black, now green, and their inhabitants. This book is comprised of a logbook, photographs, encounters with various people involved in their lives, and artistic exploration. Part theoretical research, part narrative, this investigation presents itself as a walk through Charleroi’s slag heaps.
